Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of healing that dates back thousands of years. Today many practitioners and therapists use Reiki as it complements all forms of natural healing. It is safe, gentle and effective.

How Reiki Works!

Reiki is Universal Life Force energy, which flows through all living things. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body. It clears blocked energy pathways, thus allowing vital life force energy to flow in natural healthy ways. Reiki enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Often described as one of the most relaxing experiences, other benefits include:

  • reduced stress & tension
  • alleviated aches & pains
  • increased energy & vitality
  • improved inner harmony & awareness

 

Many people have reported that they felt calmer, and were more focused (clearer thinking) after receiving Reiki.

What to expect!

A Reiki session is about one hour in length – the first session is usually a little longer to allow some time to complete/review the health questionnaire. Then as you lay on the massage table (fully clothed), the therapist gently lays her hands on or just above your body working in a specific sequence from your head to your toes. Special hand positions can also be used to boost the immune system, release spinal tension, or to address specific areas of concern. The session concludes with a chakra balance and gentle aura sweep.
